Hey, I’m Marlene
I provide compassionate, hands on postpartum support, nurturing parents and babies as they adjust and thrive in the early stages.
My Approach
Raised in México, I was shaped by a culture where new mothers are surrounded and supported by their community. I carry this belief into my work through a holistic, family-centered approach to postpartum care—offering emotional, physical, and practical support as families adjust to life with a newborn. I focus on creating a calm, nurturing space where parents feel reassured, empowered, and confident in their journey.
About Marlene
I’m Marlene Evers, a certified postpartum doula based in Chicago with over 15 years of experience supporting children and families. My background in early childhood education, professional nannying, international Au Pair work, and specialized newborn and postpartum care has shaped how I partner with families during this transformative stage of life.
I’m DONA-trained and certified through Birth and Baby University’s cross-training program, and I’m currently pursuing a Holistic Infant Sleep Certification. I’m also CPR and First Aid certified and NICU-trained, so you can feel confident that the care I provide is safe, skilled, and compassionate. I work alongside families to meet their unique needs, helping parents feel supported, empowered, and confident as they navigate life with a newborn.

A postpartum doula provides hands-on support to families after birth, helping with newborn care, feeding, emotional support, household tasks, and sibling adjustment. My goal is to make the transition into parenthood smoother, more confident, and less stressful.
-
It’s best to book your doula during pregnancy, ideally in the second or early third trimester. This ensures availability around your due date and allows us to plan support tailored to your family’s needs.
-
Support is fully customized. Daytime care may include newborn care guidance, feeding support, meal prep, light household help, and sibling care. Overnight care focuses on full infant care, sleep support, pumping assistance, nursery management, and helping parents rest and recover.
-
Most families hire postpartum support for 4 all the way up to 12 weeks after birth, but schedules can be flexible. I offer daytime, overnight, or combined support depending on each family’s needs.

You can reach out via the contact form and I will get back to you. We’ll discuss your family’s needs, create a customized plan, and ensure you feel supported from day one.
